
Fake news articles seek to pass off bogus assertions as true when they are not supported by any solid evidence.
Some individuals and businesses earn financially from the production and dissemination of false news articles. As a result, there is an obvious profit motivation. There is also a political motivation, since false news may be used to influence and convince.
Fake news can come in 3 major forms :

Clickbait
A Clickbait post or article is a post that is often provocative or features a spectacular headline often exaggerated or not at all in relation to the actual news story in order to obtain “clicks” (to generate ad revenue)

Sponsored Content
an article that appears to be independent journalism but is actually public relations or advertising is what we term as sponsored content

Fabricated Journalism
Fabricated journalism refers to fully made-up news stories (including fabricated quotes and sources, etc.)
